Candle Care & Information:

Wick Trimming: Ensure wicks are regularly trimmed to a height no greater than 5mm to ensure your candle burns low, so that it does not burn too quickly. A high flame from an untrimmed wick will create black smoke and can overheat the glass. Ensure all wick debris is removed from the wax when you trim.

Smoke & Soot: One of the main causes of candle soot/black smoke is an overly long wick. An overly long wick causes a higher flame and faster uptake of the liquid wax. This will result in an imbalance of heat & fuel and the resulting chemical reaction can produce excess soot and smoke. Any black sooty residue can be removed from the inside of the glass with a dry paper towel once the candle has been extinguished and the wax has set again.

Burn Times: Our 280-330gm candles will burn up to 40-50hrs. Burn times for candles can vary and depends upon the conditions they are burnt in, the length of each continuous burn and maintenance of correct wick length. Do not burn longer than 3-4 hours at a time.  If candles are in draughty areas, near air vents, fans or open windows, this can also result in a faster burn and produce soot.

How to burn your candles: For best results allow the candle to burn for a minimum of 2 hours at first use to ensure the full circumference of the candle has melted. This will ensure it burns evenly on subsequent burns and prevents tunnelling. Do not burn longer than 3-4 hours at a time.

Wicks: We use only pure cotton, lead-free wicks. Wicks can experience a mushrooming effect when the wick absorbs more wax than it can burn, or if the wick is too long. Please trim regularly to 5mm.

Wax: We only use sustainably sourced, eco-friendly, non-toxic vegan soy wax which is lovingly hand-poured for a high quality finish, and a clean, long-lasting burn.

Tunnelling: Tunnelling generally occurs when the candle does not burn long enough to establish a full melt pool which leaves unmelted wax around the edge of the jar. To avoid tunnelling, please ensure the candle burns long enough (2-3hrs) so that the melted wax reaches fully to the edge of the jar and to an even depth.

Storage of your candles: When not in use, please store candles in a cool, dry, dust-free location and away from direct sunlight to avoid discolouration from UV.

How to safely extinguish your candle: The best way to extinguish the candle flame is with a candle snuffer or candle dipper. Blowing the candle out will result in residual smoking. Once the flame is extinguished, use the snuffer to dip the wick back into the wax to recoat the wick for your next burn. Do NOT place a lid or object over the burning flame.

Cease burning at 1cm (10mm) wax: For safety, please cease burning your candles when 1cm (10mm) of un-melted wax remains in the bottom of the candle jar. If the wax level falls below this, there may not be enough wax left in the candle to absorb the heat transference from the flame, which may overheat the glass and cause the glass to crack.

SAFETY:  NEVER leave a burning candle unattended and please follow the instructions on the warning label and on the packaging.

Recycling: Recycle, re-purpose & re-use the vessel when you have reached the end of your candle. Simply scrape out the cooled wax, wash in warm soapy water and it’s ready to go!

Diffuser care and information:

We use a unique, environmentally friendly alcohol solvent. It’s a clear, colourless, and completely water-soluble liquid with a mild odour. It has low toxicity and ready biodegradability with an eco-friendly application across a vast range of products & industries, such as air-fresheners and household detergents.

Diffuser Instructions

Place the assembled bottle on a stable surface. Remove the stopper and place reeds into the bottle. The reeds will absorb the oil to release a beautiful fragrance.

For a stronger perfume, turn the reeds often, for a softer perfume use fewer reeds. Do not allow fragrance oils or used reeds to drip on surfaces or fabrics. Wipe spills immediately with a damp cloth. Keep out of the reach of children and pets. Not for consumption or skin application. In case of contact with eyes flush with water. For skin contact wash with soap and water.

Why has the Fragrance Diffuser liquid changed colour?
The fragrance diffuser solution will oxidise after it has been opened. The perfume in the diffuser interacts with oxygen which can affect its colour – just like a sliced apple changes colour when exposed to the air. This shouldn't cause any problems with the performance.
